"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law."

(Gal. 5:22-23)

July 2009 Newsletter

Dear Brethren in the Nations, greetings from Paul Galligan.

Grace, which is His awesome enabling power, be with you and His peace, that guards your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, be with you from God, Father of us and Lord Jesus Christ.

Mid-year apostolic school

I am writing from our SHILOH base [SHILOH is Him whose right it is to reign (Gen.49:10) Messiah Jesus]. This is our apostolic training centre [school of Tyrannus (Acts19:9-10)], in Toowoomba, Australia. We have completed our three week mid-year school. Brethren gathered from various parts of Australia; one sister drove for three days from South Australia to be with us. One minister from Myanmar, Asia, spent a fruitful week here.

The three week school met Mon. to Fri., 10am to 4pm each day. We met at 10 for prayer, 10.30 for worship and 11am teaching for one hour; then a lunch break, followed by testimony and celebrating the Lord s Table, then two more teaching sessions. A different person ministered the Lord s Table every day. It was wonderful the variety and richness that each person brought as they ministered the word in the context of the Lord s Supper.

Translations

Our brother from Colombia, South America, who is currently living in Australia, did the full school and we commissioned him to apostolic ministry. Alberto has already embarked upon much translation work our monthly newsletter is now on the website in Spanish, and the book Apostles Today is ready for proof-reading in Spanish. Meanwhile, our brother in Pakistan is ready to print Apostles Today in Urdu language.

Through brother Alberto, God is opening the door to reach Spanish speaking nations with the apostolic doctrine. Already the Spanish translations are going into six Central and South American nations.

The effect of the word of God

The word of God was running swiftly. Deeper revelation and understanding came every day. Old topics became new as the Lord gave deeper understanding.

There were a few new ones among us and they and others were weeping much in the first week as the word came forth. They were sad to see that they had missed out for so many years on the richness of the word of God. They were feeling robbed and cheated, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful scheming Eph.4:14

I was troubled by their tears; then God spoke to me out of Ezra and Nehemiah. Ezra 3:10-12 says that when the foundation of the temple was laid, the older men who had seen the previous temple wept with a loud voice . Then in Nehemiah 8, when the walls had been completed, and they read from the book of the Law, again the people wept (v.9). Nehemiah exhorted them this day is holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength (v10). This exhortation really helped the brethren.

The apostolic restoration

God is building His house through the apostolic restoration. We are called and chosen to be part of that great restoration. The words that we speak, teach and preach are so powerful. It is absolutely essential that the truth concerning Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and men, who gave His life as a ransom for all is testified to in our day.

To this end God will appoint preachers, apostles [I am telling the truth in Christ

and not lying] and teachers to the Gentiles in faith and truth, 1Tim.2:1-7.

Faithful sons

Now is the time! Today is the day! Faithful sons are being raised who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church (1Cor.4:17). God is giving us fresh understanding of a faithful son he is one who is entrusted to do the work of the ministry after training.

There are many today who are proud to be sons to an apostolic father but we have come to understand that such a designation is actually binding and limiting. The Scripture clearly teaches us that we are all predestined to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself (Eph.1:5). We are not adopted [placed] as sons to an apostle but we are adopted as sons by Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! Through Jesus Christ, God is bringing many sons to glory (Heb.2:10). All over the world some who call themselves apostles are forming exclusive networks by signing up pastors and churches to relate to them only. However the wonderful work that God is doing through His word being preached, as it is written, is to bring many sons to glory. The goal of our preaching and teaching is to present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labour, striving according to His working which works in me mightily Col.1:28-29.

The revelation of Jesus Christ

The word of God is Jesus Christ in reality (Jn.1:1-3, v14); the word of God is God manifest in the flesh 1Tim.3:16. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is already laid, which is Jesus Christ 1Cor.3:11. Since I was in Tanzania in early June, I have had deeper understanding of who Jesus Christ is. This is permeating our whole message. This gospel which we preach is not received from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ Gal.1:12.

On Friday 10th July, Nicholas Jackson preached from John 9. He called his message washed in the apostolic , but it was really the revelation of the Son of God God in the flesh. The revelation of God in Jesus was veiled by His flesh but through His death, the veil was rent (Heb.10:20). Now we can see Jesus! (Heb.2:9). God the Eternal One was manifest in the flesh; we no longer see Him after the flesh (2Cor.5:16). As the revelation, of who Jesus is, continues to be unfolded and declared among us, clarity and conviction, revelation and understanding and the resultant authority of His word, increases among us.

Obedience to the faith among all nations

It is important for us all to realise that God has given us grace and apostleship through Christ for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name Rom.1:5. Through the experience of being in Africa in May /June, God has lifted our expectation and raised our vision in line with this verse. As an apostolic ministry, the teaching we bring is already effectively reaching 14 African nations. There are 52 nations in the Continent of Africa. God has put it in our hearts that we will reach all of these nations. Testifying to this on our return, I wondered how we would reach a nation such as Libya. Within one week of saying this publicly, a pastor rang me from Libya how awesome is that!

Testimonies from the nations

As most of you will remember, a team of us had returned from five weeks in Africa just two and a half weeks prior to the school. We are still reverberating with the positive effects of that trip where we saw fruit and multiplication in apostolic ministry and the raising of faithful sons in the ministry.

A new apostolic discipleship class began on Saturday 18th July in Nairobi in a pastor s house and fifteen attended. One of the pastors attending wrote the following on 22nd June after attending a Sunday service where I was the speaker in early June:

You and Janet transformed us in that one and a half hour sermon. It became a fire in me and I am now getting what my heart has been thirsty of for many years. Those who met you earlier than I, have their own reason of making you their apostle, but me, I have this as my reason ...you have helped me transform the dead words of the Bible into life giving breathed words of God to me John Wambua and my ministry. The Bible is no longer a collection of writings but has become the source of the strength of my soul, my spirit and my flesh. I can say for sure ...may God bless His word .

Nairobi

Various classes are continuing in the Kangemi, Nairobi, apostolic training school. Ministers from 18 different churches are studying the word together in these classes: they are coming to the unity of the faith Eph.4:14.

Rev. Joseph is continuing in the class in Kayole [slum area of Nairobi]. Joseph s class was meeting in the open air but for a few hundred dollars he was able to erect a roof for the class. Joseph is heading off for Central Congo soon to penetrate 500kms into the interior.

Two schools are scheduled to begin in Kasarani [another suburb of Nairobi Nairobi is a huge and ever growing city].

Liberia & Sierra Leone

A pastor from Freetown, Sierra Leone, who was with us in Liberia, started a school immediately on his return to Freetown. Four other pastors joined him. Now more are coming and he is planning to expand to twenty.

In Liberia, multiple schools are beginning to operate as a number of ministers have already been taught by Apostle William Kettor. Jeff Suttles contact in Liberia, Bro Samuel, has also begun teaching other leaders.

School of Tyrannus

What we now see is that the School of Tyrannus is multi-campus . For a long time we wondered how we could have a full-time school in Toowoomba. Now we realise that is not the goal but rather schools/classes, happening all over the nations.

Studies of the word of God

What are these schools all about? They are straightforward studies of the word of God. The Commission Jesus gave the apostles in Mt.28:18-20 was to Go and make disciples of all nations . We have set up three years of discipleship studies. The study material is provided in teaching manuals. Each year s course is approx. 60 sessions [each session 1&1/2hours]. For example, we are doing the first year in our Bible training day at Shiloh. We meet from 9am-12noon on Thursdays. It will take approx. 30 weeks to complete. In our course we have a different teacher for each session, as we are training teachers as we go through the material. With 15 students, each one will share 4 times. The goal is to teach the disciples until they can teach others! Our experience is that anyone who goes through a course is taught in the apostles doctrine (Acts2:42).

Curriculum summaries are available and the course work can be made available to you.
